We are Patricia and José Ángel, a couple and parents of Andrés and Claudia.

Patricia studied Agricultural Engineering and Oenology in Badajoz, where she is from. In 2010, she moved to Mota del Cuervo to work as an oenologist, where she carried out seven harvests, combining them with professional trips to Chile, New Zealand and South Africa, learning more about the production processes and working methods in these latitudes. Since 2017, she has been working as a winemaker in the La Mancha and La Manchuela areas with a large bottling company. She has the “superpower” of turning grapes into wine.

José Ángel was born in Mota del Cuervo, where he has always lived. He works as an administrator and since he was a child he has helped out at home with the small family plots and any other agricultural work (pruning, harvesting grapes, picking olives, picking and cutting garlic, etc.) and non-agricultural work that came his way. He has devoted his free time to growing pistachios, starting from scratch and using his savings to buy small plots of land for planting this nut.

At Bodegas y Viñedos Serapio, we devote our time to covering every process, from pruning the vines to labelling the wine.

Together, we try to move forward, not only with a work or professional project, but also with an overall life project, carrying out our personal work, farming the land (vineyard and pistachios), producing and marketing wine, and, of course, raising Andrés and Claudia.

With this project, we want to realise two dreams: to promote wine growing in the area by producing wines born of our own efforts, and to convey to those who follow us this philosophy of work as a means of achieving our goals.
